Dr. Marc Milstein is a Scientist, Researcher, and Professional Speaker who makes cutting-edge Health and Wellness research approachable, and empowers his audience to apply these vital findings to their work and daily lives.
He earned both his Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry and his Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from UCLA. Dr. Milstein has conducted research on topics including genetics, cancer biology, neuroscience, and infectious disease, and his work has been published in multiple scientific journals.
Dr. Milstein updates medical doctors, therapists and corporations on the science of anger. Dr. Milstein created a video series that is used to train counselors in understanding the brain science of anger that is currently used internationally and has been translated into multiple languages. Dr. Milstein presents keynotes addresses on cutting edge health and wellness to corporations and organizations such as Merrill Lynch, CAA, Four Seasons Hotels, Crystal Cruise Lines, Regent Cruise Line, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Young President’s Organization, Cedars Sinai, UCLA and Providence Hospitals.
Anita Avedian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Hollywood, Tarzana, Sherman Oaks and Glendale. She graduated with her M.S. in Educational Psychology, and completed two certifications including Employee Assistance Program and Human Resources from California State University of Northridge. Her specialties include working with relationships, anger, anxiety, and addictions.
Anita Avedian is the Director of Anger Management 818 with over 7 locations, helping both self-referred and court-ordered individuals seek help with their aggression. She is the co-founder of ShrinkSync, a networking app for therapists.
Miss. Avedian is very involved with the professional community. She is the Founder of Toastmasters for Mental Health Professionals, and the Co-Founder of the California Association of Anger Management Providers, which is currently the California Chapter of the National Anger Management Association (NAMA). Anger Management Essentials is an approved NAMA model which is used for anger management certification. Moreover, Anita is an Authorized NAMA Trainer and Anger Management Supervisor for certifying anger management specialists. She is a Certified Anger Management Specialist IV and a Diplomat Member of NAMA. Anita authored Anger Management Essentials, a workbook for managing aggression, which has over 50 session plans. The book is published in both English and Armenian, and soon to be in Spanish.
